Wow what a brilliant day out we had. All the way to Hatt Rock. This is a very rare dive site to do due to it being so remote and open to all the weather and sea conditions. We had a very easy journey out there but a lumpy sporting ride back. This was expected though. The dive was absolutely stunning with 15-20m easy vis. Some current around the reef. But manageable. Current opens the anemones.
While getting ready to dive a large bull seal came to say hello and we had dolphins on the way back.
This group of members today were absolutely brilliant too, all pulled together to get the dive out and everything went like clockwork ![]()

Thanks guys and massive thanks to Jon Parlour for launching and recovering the Rib even though he didn’t join the dive ![]()

Oh and we helped a little dinghy onto the slip as the wind was pushing it into the new pontoon bridge ![]()

This was an absolutely stunning dive. Visibility was an easy 15-20m + though a little grainy. The Rock is covered in jewel anenomes in all the colours of a rainbow. Surprisingly though, no plumose anemones. Usually there have been a huge area covered in plumose of different colours. But they’re gone. This video shows as it was, no tweaking or editing, just lots of jewel anenomes. Thanks to all the members for a great day out.
