Eddystone, West Hoe harbour & Delphy Pool 1/11/2026

Two Plymouth Sound Divers club boats planned to go out today, two separate dive sites. But unfortunately the mighty Ribcraft engine refused to start once launched and the dive had to be aborted. BUT the divers and DM Lönja Selter pulled together a plan B and some divers went over to do a shore dive and a few others went over to Delphy Quarry to complete their training. Well done you lot 👏 👏 👏
The recently re-tubed Tornado group of divers which I organised carried on as planned to dive a reef off Eddystone lighthouse. We had a great day and successful dive.
Brilliant conditions, blue sky, sunshine and reasonable visibility of 6-8m and light.
Hopefully my video will follow soon but for now here’s a few topside photos.

Six members from Plymouth Sound Divers enjoyed a dive on the South West reef off Eddystone lighthouse on Sunday 1.11.26. The sea conditions were good, the air temperature was pleasant with blue sky, light northerly winds and sunshine all the way there and back. Vis was milky and reasonably light but variable at different depths between 6-8m. Sea temp at 16c.
